🌿 About Shilajit & Black Lotus
What is Shilajit?
Shilajit is a natural resin that forms over centuries as mountains rise and tectonic plates collide, trapping layers of rich soil, plants, and minerals deep within the earth. Through intense geothermal pressure and slow biochemical processes, this material transforms into a dense, mineral-rich substance that seeps from high-altitude rock faces in the Himalayas and Altai ranges. It contains a unique concentration of trace minerals, fulvic acid, and organic compounds that have been valued for centuries in traditional systems of medicine.
What makes Black Lotus unique?
Black Lotus Shilajit is more than just a supplement — it’s the result of six years of dedication as a family-owned business. We source directly from the pristine Altai Mountains of Siberia, where shilajit has been gathered for generations. Unlike many brands that simply repackage bulk resin, we built and operate our own U.S. facility in Port St. Lucie, Florida, which is fully GMP certified. Every batch is crafted and tested in-house, then verified by accredited third-party labs. Each product is sealed in Miron violet glass for optimal preservation and labeled with a QR code that links directly to its lab analysis, so you always know exactly what’s in your jar.
How is it tested?
Each batch undergoes third-party lab testing for heavy metals, microbiological safety, and authenticity. Results are posted on our website and linked by QR code on every product, so you can view the exact analysis for your jar, bottle, or batch.

How do I know it’s pure?
Our shilajit passes solubility, burn, and spectrometry tests to confirm it’s genuine resin—not mixed powders or fillers. Purity is backed by independent lab reports, and by our sourcing from remote Altai deposits untouched since the last ice age.
🍯 Using & Choosing
How do I take it?
- Resin: Dissolve a pea-sized portion in warm water, tea, or milk.
- Tablets: Take with water for a quick, flavorless option.
- Tinctures: Pump directly under the tongue or in a drink.
- Honey: Enjoy a spoonful on its own or mixed with tea.
- Soap & Balm: Apply externally to skin for cleansing or topical care.
What’s the serving size?
We recommend, and most people prefer a pea-sized amount of resin (around 200–300 mg), 1–2 tablets, or 5-10 pumps of tincture daily. Honey, soaps, and balms can be used according to preference. Always start small and adjust gradually.
Can I mix it with drinks?
Yes. Shilajit resin, tinctures, and honey blend well with warm water, tea, coffee, smoothies or milk. Avoid boiling liquids, which may diminish potency.
Which form should I choose?
- Resin for the most traditional, authentic experience.
- Tablets for ease and no taste.
- Tinctures for smooth, flexible use.
- Honey for a sweet, nourishing option.
- Soap or Balm for skin and external care.
How should I store it - does it expire?
Keep shilajit sealed in its original Miron glass jar or blister paccket, out of direct sunlight, at room temperature. Resin and tablets remain stable for years if stored properly. Tinctures and honey should be used within 2 years for best quality.
How do I open a stuck jar?
If resin thickens or the lid sticks, run warm water over the closed jar for 30 seconds, then open. The warmth softens the resin and loosens the seal without affecting quality.
What to do if tablets are sticky?
Due to the tablets being raw resin, they sometimes will melt when exposed to heat in transit. If this is the case, simply place them in the freezer for 30 minutes and they will return to normal consistency.
🔒 Safety
Is it safe—any side effects?
When sourced and purified correctly, shilajit is generally safe for healthy adults. Some people may experience mild digestive sensitivity if they take too much. Always follow suggested use and consult your healthcare provider before beginning any supplement.
Can pregnant or breastfeeding women use it?
We do not recommend shilajit during pregnancy or while breastfeeding unless advised by a qualified healthcare professional.
Can pets take it?
Some pet owners give very small amounts to dogs or cats, but dosing varies widely depending on the weight. Always consult your veterinarian before giving shilajit to animals.
Are there allergens or interactions?
Our products are free from major allergens. While no clinical studies have confirmed interactions, shilajit may influence things like energy metabolism and circulation, so it’s best to consult your healthcare provider if you’re on prescription medication.
Can Kids take it?
Shilajit is traditionally used by adults. Children above the age of 7 should only take doses according to their weight and use it under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
🌱 Other Uses
Can I use it as a fertilizer?
Shilajit contains natural minerals and humic substances that can support soil health, but our products are manufactured and packaged for human use, not agriculture. For gardening, we recommend sourcing material specifically processed as fertilizer. 250mg of Shilajit per 1 gallon of water to fertilize plants.
