We bring you the finest Herbal Salve on the market. Rooted in deep herbal tradition
and formulated with extraordinary care, our Ancestral Skin Salve is a luxurious, small-batch balm designed to support dry, cracked, inflamed, or sensitive skin with the most nutrient-dense ingredients nature has to offer.

Ingredients: Grass Fed & Finished Regenerative Organic Tallow (Suet), Regenerative Pasture Raised Leaf Lard, Organic Golden Jojoba Oil, Organic Calendula, Organic Plantain, Organic Rose Petals, Organic Chamomile, Raw Florida Wildflower Honey, Unrefined Beeswax, Raw Shilajit, Frankincense EO and Myrrh EO.

Each 50ml jar contains 1 gram of Raw Shilajit, and each 100ml jar contains 2 grams, making this one of the most mineral-rich and bioactive salves available.

The base oils are slow-infused with organic whole plants using low heat to preserve the full spectrum of their therapeutic constituents, following time-honored preparation methods of herbalism. Once cooled, we add the Raw Honey and Raw Shilajit to preserve the bioactive constituents and enzymes.

Benefits:

Grass-Fed Regenerative Suet Tallow
Harvested from the kidney fat of grass-fed, regeneratively raised cattle, suet tallow has been used for centuries in traditional skin and body care. Its dense, waxy structure creates a firm and nourishing balm base that remains stable over time. Historically favored for its purity and compatibility with the skin, suet was commonly used in balms, soaps, and ointments long before the advent of synthetic skincare. Its natural composition supports a smooth, resilient finish without the need for artificial emulsifiers.

Pasture-Raised Leaf Lard
Leaf lard is the highest grade of rendered fat, taken from a specific internal region and historically reserved for fine pastry, soap, and salve-making. In topical formulations, it offers a velvety, rich texture with excellent spreadability. Its soft consistency blends seamlessly with herbs and essential oils, making it ideal for modern skin preparations that draw on traditional craft. Leaf lard remains neutral in scent and touch, allowing other ingredients to shine through while supporting deep moisturization.

Organic Golden Jojoba Oil
Cold-pressed and unrefined, golden jojoba oil is technically a liquid wax with a structure remarkably close to the skin’s natural oils. Used by Indigenous peoples of the American Southwest and prized in modern formulations for its stability and absorbency, jojoba brings balance and softness to the salve. Its golden color is a result of minimal processing and reflects the presence of naturally occurring nutrients and wax esters. It helps carry botanical compounds into the skin’s outer layers while providing a light, non-greasy finish.

Calendula (Calendula officinalis)
With its golden-orange petals and resinous texture, calendula has long been considered a botanical ally in skin preparations throughout Europe, the Mediterranean, and North Africa. Often made into infused oils by folk herbalists, calendula is traditionally associated with care for the surface layers of the skin, particularly where dryness or seasonal exposure is a concern. It imparts a warm tone and subtle silkiness to the oils it’s infused into, enhancing the overall feel and glow of the finished balm.

Plantain Leaf (Plantago major)
A humble but powerful wild plant, plantain leaf has been used for centuries in salves, poultices, and oil infusions across North America and Europe. Known in traditional medicine for its ability to "draw out" and cool the skin, it has often been applied to areas exposed to the elements. Its firm, veined leaves yield a green-toned, slightly astringent infusion that contributes to a balanced, grounding quality in topical products.

Rose Petals (Rosa centifolia)
Roses have been used across ancient Persia, India, and Europe not only for their fragrance but for their ability to soften and refine. In oil infusions, rose petals lend a gentle astringency and cooling effect, along with their unmistakable floral complexity. In traditional beauty and ceremonial preparations, rose was often added to elevate the emotional and sensory experience of a product, creating a connection between body and spirit.

Chamomile (Matricaria recutita)
Chamomile flowers have a long history of use in oils, compresses, and salves in both European and Middle Eastern traditions. Known for their mild aroma and gentle touch, these small blossoms are often used in topical formulas designed for sensitive skin. Chamomile-infused oils carry a soft, honeyed scent and are favored in preparations intended to comfort and calm the skin’s surface, especially during seasonal transitions or times of heightened sensitivity.

Raw Florida Wildflower Honey
Used across countless ancient cultures, raw honey has been applied topically for its natural ability to soften and protect the skin. As a naturally occurring humectant, it helps draw and hold moisture while giving the salve a smooth, cohesive texture. When added after cooling, honey retains its full enzymatic profile and aromatic nuance, contributing a hydrating, comforting finish. Its use in ointments, salves, and poultices spans millennia—from Ayurveda to Egyptian medicine.

Unrefined Beeswax
Beeswax has been an essential part of topical formulations for over 2000 years, prized in Greco-Roman, Middle Eastern, and indigenous European traditions. As a foundational ingredient in salves and ointments, it creates a breathable barrier that supports moisture retention without clogging the skin. Its role in historical medicine cabinets was not only functional but symbolic, representing preservation, resilience, and natural order. In this formula, it gives the balm a firm yet flexible body and a long-lasting, protective feel on the skin.

Raw Black Lotus Shilajit
Known historically as “the destroyer of weakness” in Ayurvedic texts, shilajit is a mineral resin that seeps from high-altitude stone, harvested seasonally and used in both internal and topical preparations. Our Black Lotus Shilajit is purified without solvents or high heat in our GMP-certified facility, preserving its fulvic and humic profile. In this salve, it adds a rare depth—mineral-rich and grounding—contributing to a balanced texture and unique earthy signature. While topical use is uncommon in modern products, it reflects traditional practices where shilajit was applied to maintain tone and appearance of the skin.

Frankincense Essential Oil (Boswellia carterii)
Used in sacred oils and ceremonial blends for over 5,000 years, frankincense resin was once traded as a treasure equal to gold. Its steam-distilled essential oil offers a rich, resinous aroma and is often used in topical preparations for its ability to refine and smooth the feel of skin. Ancestrally, it was combined with oils and fats for anointing the body, both spiritually and physically. In this salve, it brings an elevated aromatic experience and complements the richness of the other ingredients with subtle toning effects.

Myrrh Essential Oil (Commiphora myrrha)
One of the oldest known skincare and embalming substances, myrrh resin has been revered since ancient Egypt and Sumeria. The essential oil, steam-distilled from the resin, offers a deep, smoky-earth aroma and is traditionally included in salves to support skin exposed to dryness and environmental stress. In folk and ceremonial traditions, myrrh was used in cleansing, consecration, and protection. In this formula, it helps round out the aromatic profile and adds a sense of grounding and calm.
